IPM Bottom Board

Equipped standard with ventilation filters, varroa excluder and inspection tray

Entrance Reducer

The colored sliding gates on the entrance reducer feature extremely convenient opening and closing. Bee flight entrances can be narrowed or enlarged depending on seasonal conditions. Easily sealed of for any journey.

Handy Frames

Easy-to-clean material, in accordance with the Food Codex. Insert wax foundation and snap the frame in only 10 seconds!

Lock and Latch

Fix supers together. As the excluder, when inserted, increases the distance in between, a second stage has been added to the lock. Made from food grade stainless steel.

Insulated Brood Box and Supers

All-round double layer with a special filling thermal insulation keeps the colony warm in the winter and cool in the summer. They are fully interchangeable with wooden beehives.

Queen Excluder

Built in spacers to prevent excluder from sticking on the frames. Bees move comfortably.

Hive Top Cover

Provides thermal insulation. Durable, noiseless and lends itself to stacking.

Round Bee Entrance

IPM Bottom Board

Consists of four ventilation filters , bottom drawer and an excluder. This ensures your bees always have fresh air and allows debris and mites to fall out of the hive.The drawer is located under the excluder and serves to facilitate control of varroa and cleaning of the bottom board.

Pollen Trap

Fits over the flight board. The holes in the pollen rake are designed to suit bee physiology according to world standard sizes and do not harm the bees. There is a drone exit hole between the rake and the hive.

The ventilated drawer prevents collected pollen from growing humid.

Bee Entryway Separator

Both sides of the seperator can be used by reversing. The three-notched side is used when wintering as an entrance reducer. The opposite side with larger number of notches is for the bees to work and defend their hive easily.

Lock-latch Handles

Used to fasten together the bottom board,the brood chamber, the super and the top cover. As the excluder, when inserted, increases the distance in between, a second stage has been added for the latch to lock safely. The handles allow easy handling of the hive.

Frame Spacers and Immobilization

Upper and Lower Fixing Elements By inserting each frame into a slot, potential damages during transport will be prevented, eliminating also the need for pre-transport fixing operations. If not needed can be reversed to a flat side without grooves. The elements comes standard in the brood chamber and supers of Defender Series

Division and Uniting Board

Used for shrinking the hive interior during wintering, the division board has round ducts in its design which can be used in merging as well as uniting colonies.

Wintering without losses...

A major challenge to the beekeeper is helping the bees survive winter weather. Starvation, cold, dampness, mites and nosema all make winter survival within the hive difficult. Colonies in Thermo Hives eat less food during the winter and are better able to move their clusters to new areas of honey within the hive. With the insulated Thermo Hive bodies and top cover the bees cluster loosely or not at all and do not fall victim to "cold starvation" when they move to reach it because of lack of food.

ERGOSERIES Thermo Beehives parts are designed to be suitable for use with wooden supers. The great mix and match solution allows beekeeper to overwinter colonies in the insulated bodies and use the present wooden supers when needed.
